Myth – 1 : People say dogs have a cleaner mouth than most of men
This has to be the biggest myth, dogs lick lick and lick anything they come in contact, how can they ever have a cleaner mouth. In fact, they have some dangerous germs and other gooey things with which most people can get affected and ill.
Myth – 2 : Color blindness of Dogs
This myth says that all dogs are colorblind. After so much advancement in science and technology this myth has also been busted.
Myth – 3 : Dog’s sickness can be predicted by his warm or dry nose

Myth – 4 : Dogs throw up after eating grass on purpose
So, this myth goes like this, dogs to it purposely they eat up grass and vomit all over. While nobody no why they like to eat grass. But its again not true.
Myth – 5 : Teaching old dogs is waste of time
This myth suggest you can only train young dogs and not the old ones. Its believed that due to old age they don’t try to learn things. But according to the pros at Spectrum Canine Dog Training, if you teach them patiently as they are not as agile they used to be, they turn out to be good learners.
Myth – 6 : 1 year of human is equal to 7 years of dogs.
This is a widely accepted belief and people tend to swear on this myth. Every dog has substantial growth in youth but gets slow in their later years. But mostly the age depends on dogs breed and size.
Myth – 7 : Before undergoing spaying, female dogs should be allowed to give birth
By doing so, female dogs will stay healthy, but its not true. Its highly controversial though, but the fact is, it doesn’t matter if female dogs have spayed or not their health remains the same.
Myth – 8 : If dog is happy, s/he will wag the tail
This myth turns our to be dangerous, dog bites generally happen because of this. So, if a dog wag his tail, there could be many reasons, happy, excited, feeling fear etc.
Myth – 9 : Dogs aggression can be seen in tug of war
Dogs are generally overjoyed with tug of war play and it has been argued to be advantageous and disadvantageous by many. Fact remains that they love playing tug of war and it makes them more health and psychologically stronger.
Myth – 10 : Dogs which are purebred are less healthier
This obviously is a misconception, any mutt dog will always be weaker than a purebred dog, of course there are many conditions and upbringing habits. But the truth is purebred are more healthy.
